Collaborations

Anthropology of Ottawa

One direction that CAM/MAC's experimentations have taken us is towards consolidating a research hub for an anthropology of Ottawa. We go on fieldwork excursions around the city, then collaboratively conceptualize our experiences and write about them. Sites have included the Diefenbunker, a meeting of the Ottawa People’s Commission, a tour of the senate, and many trips to Parliament Hill.

AABrO – Academia e Artes Brasileiras na Universidade de Ottawa

AABrO (Academia e Artes Brasileiras na Universidade de Ottawa) is a collaboration between professors Carmen Fullin and Meg Stalcup. "Abro" means "I open" in Portuguese, and our playful name is an invitation to join us in scholarly and artistic events held through out the year. We founded the association to serve as nexus for Brazilian studies at the University of Ottawa, in the hope of bringing together scholars and local community members.
